Thumbs up Cyberfriends Photography Enthusiasts

hello everyone,

i was just wondering kung sino sa mga cf's ang nag ho-hobby din sa photography. share nyo naman mga pics ninyo ng magagandang manok at mga farm dyan.

and also if you guys can share the techniques: like lighting, apperture settings on how to capture the best looks of your birds.

im trying to get inputs maybe from those experienced enough in gamefowl photography.

maybe we can share some here first and then from here maybe we can schedule photo ops pag nakita kita tayo.

ingat sa lahat

minsan kunwari pang magazine na mga picture ng manok ang masarap pag aralan kuhain eh. :-) kahit na hindi ka gwapuhan ang manok baka puede daanin sa pag compose ng picture.

Re: Cyberfriends Photography Enthusiasts

the best way to capture nice pix is to level the camera to the subject.
the most important is light.

Re: Cyberfriends Photography Enthusiasts

Al,

pareho tayo, may camera din kasi ako na dslr ngayon. kaya eto pag wala magawa click lang ng click. baguhan lang din ako sa hobby na to. pero mukhang exciting kasi sana eh. parang you can add more drama to your pictures if you know how to play with the apperture and shutter speed ettings.

eto at pa browse browse lang sa internet at wala pa ako time to attend a formal photography class.

here is a link for begginers:

http://jeffcua.blogspot.com/search/l...20day%20lesson

at madami pa iba sa yahoo type mo lang photography lessons. ang nikon site al meron din yan sila tutorials specific to thier product. tyagain mo lang hanapin.

bxu,

yeah its better to just point and shoot, no hassles, some people take great photos naturally but unfortunately i am one of those that needs training on how to take those pics that look alive.

domingo,

nice link

Hello brod Joel. Kumusta na! With photography talent and with great looking cocks to shoot, definitely you can't go wrong. Any derby sked in the mainland this coming cocking season?

Re: Cyberfriends Photography Enthusiasts

nice shots rcbalikatan, keep em comming. what kind of camera did you use and its settings? usually sa action shots i just put it on sports mode.

jon,

right now im using the canon 400d. entry level nila na dslr. its good to invest in good quality lense din, right now pinag iipunan ko pa. it cost more than a good quality trio. hehehehe.

Nice shots bro, composition, and lighting wise these shots are technically sound. Not bad for a hobbiest. I will suggest if you may for more improvements: The photos are great in itself, but the impact is not that awesome because of the background. The background steals the attention a bit from your main subject which is the chicken. You could have blurred more the background by using a long lens of 200 to 400mm with an aperture of 2.8 or 1.2 (if you have). Try that and you will see the big difference. Over all, good but excellent for your level

Bro if you're tight of budget, i recommend Nikon D40 kit. Its 8megapixel semi professional type of camera and its digital, good for sharing through the net. It costs around 24 to 25 thou. Then invest in the future a 2.8 80mm to 200mm lens.
But if you want to go bigbang invest in Canon EOS Mark 2 or 3 series.

You're very right, 3 to 5 frames/sec is good enough unless yuo're taking an action shots like sparring. Put your aperture to the lowest (F1.2, F 2.8) and adjust the shutter speed to the max Like F2.8, 600 to 800 Shutter speed at ISO 100. You will really freeze the action of sparring and at thesame time the background is totally blurred. Good luck
