The best "Roundhead"

Hello cockmates! Iwas just wondering after listening and watching many derbies in the Philippines, I ask myself some questions so as to what is the best Roundhead there is for the fighting style in the Philippines? Would you say that Boston Roundheads are better than Lacy Roundheads? How about the Allen Roundheads? The Brunner Roundheads? Please give your expert views about these Roundheads! The criteria would be the following: Station, Cutting ability, Overall pit performance and Gameness! Thank you and please air your opinion honestly and seriously! Happy voting!

equal

my personnal pick is lacy but i cannot say its the best.
each roundhead has their strong and weak points which
would not give you convincing scale to say its the best

if you want the busy roundhead fighter type pick steve simbeck roundheads..........

........if you want the blow by blow toe to toe that hits hard in all angles pick dan gray roundheads

if you like fighting fully aged cocks i would choose and suggest the dan gray roundhead-claret.they are awesome when they are fully matured.

It all depends on the breeders, and what they add to their bloodlines. I have seen Lacy that weaved and dodged like the old Allen (my favorite). I also have seen Lacy that went on the attack like a YLH. In both case, the owners claimed to have "pure" Lacy.

You can't say which one is the best. It's what you prefer...

I would include Gary Gilliam Roundhead One of the BEST roundhead.

Poll in Gamerooster About Roundhead

I personally think Gary Gilliam has the best roundheads in the world. For 20-30 years in a row this man has won 40-50 derbies every year.He fights roundheads or hatch roundheads.Week after week I have seen him fight 2 shows and 90% of the time he goes straight fight in both entries. My opinion for the next best roundheads is Paul Sparks,he did about the same as Gary Gilliam. He has been known to win 63 derbies in 2 different years.the other times he wins 40-50. Guess what kind of roundheads this man has?(Gary Gilliam roundhead). The next man Don McClure and Weaver entry 20-30 derbies every year.Guess whos roundhead they have? Gary Gilliam.
Ray Alexander has good roundheads.(Lacys)
John Sears has good roundheads.(Boston)
I am Terry Sitsler of Sitsler Game Farm I have all 3 of the above roundheads direct. It keeps me in the winning circle.Everyone that gets these roundheads are in the winning circle.I have went to Gary Gilliams home and visited him and his fowl and if he invites you in his house you will see hundreds of trophys. Not a hundred but hundreds! 10-20 trophys that are over 6 foot tall, thats just in the front room. All these roundhead you speak of has got good roundhead, but who has a record year after year like Gary GIlliam?

Boston Rounhead Crosses has done a good record here in P.I. As what they have said, it was a Jimmy Aces BR.

Take a look on this link.

Dan Gray Roundheads

Still one of the more dominant Roundheads in the PI. Joe entry who won the latest WSC 2005 were still of Dan Gray's make. Essentially Dan Gray's are Lacys. One of the better-looking Roundheads you'll find. What's interesting is that he has another strain called the Lundhy Roundhead. This he criss-crosses to his Lacy's for battlefowl purposes but still would come out as a "pure" Roundhead.

In the US, Roundheads of BAMA gamefowl farm are still impressive. Dee Cox Roundhead to common cockers - they have the complete arsenal with good breaking skills, excellent ground fighting and superb cutting! Still they are of the old Judge Lacy's line.

Dee Cox or D cocks they rock!

Guys! What can you say about Lancey dela Torre Roundheads? I think his Roundheads can easily out-rooster the other Roundheads! Very nice and impressive.

Boston Roundheads!

They are extremely good! But you know where he got them from the Plaza's of Agusan. I believe they are Billy Abbott's. Extremely agile and real outstanding cutters. A cross to Lemons won him the World Slasher Cup once upon a time financed by Patrick Antonio. He was I believe the first one to score 8-0 in WSC prior to Atty. Salud and Lito Orillaza doing it in 2004. Winning Time Jobo won using Roundhead-Hatch crosses, all full brothers which were sired by a Roundhead broodcock from Danilo Hinlo of Bacolod. Just don't know what kind of Roundhead Danilo Hinlo has.

Guy's! Everybody knows that Peter Uy is the "SM" of brood fowls! Does he has roundhead as well? Does anybody knows how to reach or contact him? Where is he from? I mean where is his farm located?

Cowan Roundheads

Cowan Roundheads formerly known as Alabama roundheads and in the US as Cowan roundheads in honor of its originator. H.H. Cowan. Originated from the Allen RH and then crossed over to the Mahogany Gull fowl and breds back to the foundation stock of the Alabama Roundhead, the Grist Grady. Mr. Cowan claimed that the old time allen rh were smart-stepping tactics and phenomenal sparring qualities and rapid straight hip blows while in the air. In the later stages of the battle when it came down to a give and take never, thought they excelled. For short after 15 years he come with the right stuff crossing to the old time magogany gull fowl. This fowl were desperate gameness strong and deadly heel, after infussion with allen rh hen. thats the beginning of the Cowan roundheads. Knowing this quality to be one of the outstanding characteristics of the Grist Gradys their foundation stock. ( Col. GristGrady) this short story base 40 years ago. and I was still a baby.. thank you.:rbounce: :rbounce: :rbounce:

Mike/Jimbo Cox of Bama Farms and Squab Miller of AL. RH are hard hitter and excellent cutters.

We prefer Dan Gray RH bred by Jun Cometa of Negros. Smart, great cutter and still winning in Negros.
