got some Bobby Jones Black Mcrae from a friend... bred them to asils and asil grades last season, I only produce a few and are young now, will breed more this coming season... hopefully...
I think the question has to be " who has the McRea family with better percentage of wins " asking for the best is mater of appreciation not facts. Just my opinion.
I was fortunate enough to have acquired my McRae family from Richard T. of Hawaii, all I can say is thank you Richard these are truly world class fowl. I bred them this year to asil and grey, let me tell you they look very good I have already had to pen up three biddies that are 1/2 mcrae & 1/2 grey they just won't stop going for each other. Will try to post some pics of them tommorrow. So for me hands down I choose the McRae's from Richard, they are an excellent family and they suit my needs. Thank you! Richard.
Any more black McRea in the States? a side of Mr. Beall .
I do, I kept my line pure from Mr. Ken Kincannon and he kept his line pure from Mr. Mcrea. But I do also have Mcreas that are 2 way crosses. Mcrea with Grey or Asil or Rubles or Roundheads. These pure or cross mcreas are high station and high breakers that are very fast.

Where are you located , can you post some videos or pictures?
thanks
Kogs You hurt my fealings I guess the Trio I sent you wasnt to your likeing after all ............Its ok ..LOl.......they are the same blood that came from Mr. Mcrae just bred to suite my needs . I guess they arent for everyone .
Mr. Kincannon got his McRaes from a man in Mississippi a long time ago but it's hard to tell if they are the real deal or not.
I wouldn't hesitate to look at Rick Beal's McRaes, he has had them for a while and people report much luck with them and they cross well with Greys and other fowl. Also from what I've seen at the Payton's farm their McRae Blacks are top notch and supposidly from McRae himself (who worked for the Payton's that last few years of he was alive).
igot mcrae hen,,, dont really know what is the best line to cross with her,,,, i gor bc kelso, sweater, grey, doc robinson all pure from rocky top not the hen,,............................................. ...........
Sir, could you tell me if Bobby Payton manage different lines of Mcraes? and if that is true, which ones are the good ones?
Sir he does have more then the 4 webbers ,the 4 webbers double nose .and he 4 webbers are his # 1 and # 2 lines ,but whe he or me breeds the 4 webber double nose to the 4 webber only hens ,then there not 4 webber double nose or 4 webber only ,the offspring will be a cross of the 2 pure Macrae familys ,i marked mine 4 webber left nose from one side and 4 webber right nose from the other ,this year ,i will breed the pullets from the 4 webber double nose cock ,and the 4 webber hens ,back to the old cock 4 webber double nose cock ,and the best stag back over the 4 webber hens ,and like 99% of the rest of the breeders in the world ,i will breed some of the pure Macrae pullets to the best peacomb hatch cock i own ,and then breed the pullets off him and the old pure hens ,back to a Macrae 4 webber cock ,if they do like i think they will ,i will breed the 3\4 pullets back to the 4 webber double nose cock ,and mark them whatever way i want ,and use them for pure Macrae ,some people dont breed this way ,but i do ,so does Carol Nesmith ,if your fowl needs power add power if they need cut add cut ,whatever you think they are liking add it to them keeping them good ,if not you will end up with some 4 pound man fighting ,rank dungheal ,that can busta rotten egg ,fis Mike.
best crosses are; mel sim hatch if you have the hawaiian, dan gray rh if you have the bobby jones mcrae...big tail hatch is the best if you can find them...
