I've never heard of pumpkin seed, but I have heard of garlic. Best thing to do i's to ask a Filipino friend to get you some wormers from the Philippines. They have the best ones I ever used.

Re: deworming chickens

Use chemical wormers, not natural stuff. Don't risk it. Chemical wormers work the best.

Thanks.

Re: DEWORMING

Liquid wormer, wormal capsules and tablets. They're all good. Wormazole makers claims wormazole kills more types of worms than other wormer killers.

Good Luck

Re: deworming chickens

Mexia-Cali........I have used everything under the sun, neobicide,enzum,Williams-pokey's,wormz-all, the ones from Mex are by far the best. U got to get the worms that effect their breathing, the worms above the craw, levisole will do the trick. There are more problems in fowl due to worms than any other thing.....

Re: deworming chickens

As with all wormers they do not kill the worms, They relax the grip the worms have on the intestine linning so they will pass. Valbazine and safeguard work well. But, you must re worm in 10 days to remove eggs that have hatched or you defeat the purpose. Also if you dont move fowl to fresh ground they will just reinfect themselves after passing the worms.I have had good results at 6 parts water to one part safeguard or valbazin. 2 cc of the mix down the hatch.

Add a little bleach in their water 3 times a week it will take care of the worms.

How do you diagnose your gamefowl for worms? Can you treat for worms as a preventive measure even though they may not have any?

Best thing to do is google poultry health. There's cecal, round, capillary, tape, gape worms etc. I am sure you'll come across a diagnostic chart. And yes you can de-worm them every 30 days.

Good Luck

How to Deworm Your Birds

Hey everybody just wanted to say hi and ask how do you guys deworm your birds. im 16 and live in the city and because of that i cant have so many roosters so i managed to get myself a trio of brothers and sisters so that i could learn how to raise these gamefowls from stags and pullets to cocks and hens. so anyways of what i remember the breeder that i got my chickens from told me to fast them for a day then give them the pill with there stomach empty and feed them bread soaked in buttermilk in the morning. is this correct? has anyone ever tried it this way. what are some other ways to do it?

Re: How to Deworm Your Birds

Yes that will work get em empty then apply your wormer. I like safeguard just dab some on a piece of bread and pitch it to them. Theres tablet wormers and water soluable wormers. Just be sure to apply wormer again 14 days later cause wormer won't kill the larvae. Then the next day give the bread soaked in milk it will blow the dead worms out. Good Luck

Re: How to Deworm Your Birds

Hey bud, that's correct! I fast my fowl for 24 hours then worm with valbazen- 12 hours later flush them with bread and milk r dog food and milk! Repeat this in 7-10 days and then every 30 days! Remember with valbazen mix 1 part water to 1 part valbazen then 1/2 cc down throat

Re: How to Deworm Your Birds

Valbazen works good to but another thing switch your wormers up. Use one kind for the first apply then the second apply in 14 days then go to another wormer. Safegaurd is making a pellet wormer now I use that to about once a month.
