This came from him, translated to Bisaya/Cebuano by my wife. It was designed specifically for my farm in Leyte.

When injecting under the neck skin the needle should point away from the head and be at least 1/3 of the way down the neck away from the head.

Think about day 1 as the day of the first vaccination. Because we want to save medicine maybe you will wait until you have many chicks, some may be 1 day old and some may be 8 days old but for the vaccination it is all day 1 when you give the first vaccination. You must keep a written record of which chicks have had each vaccination. It will be difficult because in the net range area you will have many chicks that are on vaccination 38 and many that are on 60. Maybe you should punch the toe web when you give each vaccination until they have a wing band, then you can keep track of which vaccination they have by the wing band number.

So when you vaccinate day 88 write down all the wing band numbers so you will know which chickens to vaccinate on day 102.

1 Day old- Merck’s .2cc (20 units) inject under the skin of the neck. Put 50ml of Diluent (big bottle) in a small clean jar and put the Diluent back in the refrigerator. Open the vaccine bottle and remove the rubber plug, cut the vaccine into 4 pieces and mix one piece in the small jar. Put the plug back in the vaccine and put it in the refrigerator. The mixed vaccine is now ready and will last 2 hours; throw the mixed vaccine away when finished.

10 Days old- B-1 B-1 Newcastle Bronchitis Live give 1 drop in the nose. Dilute half the vaccine with 15ml Diluent (big bottle)

24 Days old- Pox for young birds give in the web of the wing. Dilute vaccine with 10ml Pox Diluent

38 Days old- Repeat B-1 B-1 Newcastle Bronchitis

60 Days old- Coryza (haemophlous paragallinarum bacterium) .5cc (50 units) inject under the skin of the neck. Vaccine can’t be cold when used.

74 Days old- LaSota Newcastle Bronchitis Live give 1 drop in the nose. Dilute half the vaccine with 15ml Diluent (big bottle)

88 Days old- Repeat Coryza

102 Days old- Fowl Cholera inject under the skin of the neck

128 Days old- CRD-MG-NCL-BRN (Newcastle Bronchitis killed-mycoplasma-collis) inject .5cc (50 units) in the breast muscle. BE VERY CAREFUL, IT IS DANGEROUS IF YOU INJECT YOURSELF. IF YOU INJECT YOURSELF GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND TELL THEM YOU HAVE BEEN INJECTED WITH AN OIL-BASED VACCINE.

170 days old- Repeat above CRD-MG-NCL-BRN

188 days old- Pox for Older birds give in the web of the wing. Dilute vaccine with 10ml pox Diluent.

Ibutang ug balik ang takob (plug) sa bakuna ug ibalik sa refrigerator. Karon ang nakahalong bakuna ready na ug ang tagal ani 2 ka oras (2 hours); ilabay ang bacuna sa layo pagkahuman.

10 Days old (10 ka adlaw ang edad) – B-1 B-1 Newcastle Bronchitis Live hatagi ug 1 ka tulo (1 drop) sa ilong.

Tunawa ang tunga (half) sa bakuna sa 15ml nga Diluent (dakong butilya o big bottle).

24 Days old (24 ka adlaw ang edad) – Pox para sa piso o gagmay’ng manok (young birds) ihatag sa web sa pako (wing). Tunawa ang bakuna sa 10ml nga Pox Diluent.

38 Days old (38 ka adlaw ang edad) – Utrohon ang B-1 B-1 Newcastle Bronchitis

60 Days old (60 ka adlaw ang edad) – Coryza (haemophlous paragallinarum bacterium) .5cc (tunga sa cc or 50 units) i-inject sa ilawom sa panit sa le-og. Ang bakuna DILI bugnaw kung gamiton.

74 Days old (74 ka adlaw ang edad) – LaSota Newcastle Bronchitis Live hatagi ug 1 ka tulo (1 drop) sa ilong. Tunawa ang tunga (half) sa bakuna sa 15ml Diluent (dakong butilya o big bottle).

88 Days old (88 ka adlaw ang edad) – Utroha ang Coryza

102 Days old (102 ka adlaw ang edad) – Fowl Cholera i-inject sa ilawom sa panit sa le-og (WALA PA TA ANI).

128 Days old (128 ka adlaw ang edad) – CRD-MG-NCL-BRN (Newcastle Bronchitis killed-mycoplasma-collis) i-inject ang .5cc (tunga sa cc or 50 units) sa muscle sa dughan. PAG-AMPING UG MAAYO, KAY KINI DELIKADO (DANGEROUS) KUNG MA-INJECT KAN ANG IMONG KAUGALINGON. KUNG MA-INJECT KAN KA ANI ADTO SA HOSPITAL UG INGNA ANG MGA DOCTORS NGA NA-INJECT KAN ANG IMONG KAUGALINGON UG OIL-BASED VACCINE.

This is a good thread especially for amateurs/backyard breeders that needs guidance from experts about conducting needed vaccinations on our birds..just bumping up this thread hopefully experts can share additional ideas,ways & methods regarding this topic..your added ideas is greatly appreciated...thanks!

I am new in this sport and my birds are over a year old and haven't been vaccinated. Can I still follow the vaccination program and start with mercks, b1b1, pox, etc.? If not, how do I start my vaccination program? Please help!
