EVGBA Gamecock Seminar and 4-Stag Derby

The Eastern Visayas Gamecock Breeders Association, Inc. (EVGBA), will conduct a seminar about "Gamecock" on August 30, 2006 at Pongos Hotel in Ormoc City. This will be a whole day affair jointly sponsored by EDL Excellence and Cargill Phillippines. Topics about gamecock's A-Z have been lined up, such as the different bloodlines, breeding methods, feeding regimen, prevention and medication of major gamecock diseases, preconditioning and condition methods, etc. Well known speakers from Manila were invited to speak about their specialties to make this seminar an educational and interesting one.

On September 1 - 2, 2006, EVGBA will again promote and host a 4-Stag Derby to be held at Nadongholan Cockpit, Ormoc City. As of this time, there are 56 committed entries coming from Samar, Northern Leyte, Biliran, Southern Leyte and some invited guest from Bohol, Cebu, Bacolod and Manila who signified their participation on this event. This will be the 2nd time that EVGBA have hosted and promoted a stag derby. The 1st time was last year held at Tanauan Recreational Center, Tanauan, Leyte.

Well done. The seminar will benefit all the breeders and sabungeros in the area. The 4-stag derby on the other hand, is a challenge to all breeders young and old alike as they are sure their legitimate stags will be tested against also legitimate stags because all will undergo a very high standard of screening like what we had in Tanauan, Leyte during our 1st stag derby. In fact all stags banded and unbanded, should pass all the criteria to be considered "legitimate", so we do not have doubts that our stag will fight against a bull stag.
