read the prescription and if you think it will helps use it but surely B12 will work something on your chickens. but as what i've read from other thread 5000mcg cyanocobalamin composition is much better.

happy cocking.

FOR OUR CHICKEN I THINK WE DONT NEED THAT MUCH DOSAGE.....EXAMPLE 1000 MG. .30ML P/INJECTION...... 5000 MG. .10ML P/INJECTION......IF YOU GIVE THE SAME DOSAGE WITH 1000 MG. PATAY YUNG MANOK MO KASAMA PERA MO.

prescription is different from the dosage.

Prescription is the overall information about the medicine.

And we're talking here about the prescription. Most cockers prefers cyanocobalamin 5000mcg because of very small dosage of 0.10ml per intravenous application.

Dosage is the amount of liquid that you need to give intravenously.

Re: Rubramin Subtitute to Cyanocobalamin

Hydroxocobalamin (OHCbl) is a natural analog of vitamin B-12, a basic member of the cobalamin family of compounds. Iit has an intense red color. Vitamin B12 is a term that refers to a group of compounds called cobalamins that are available in the human body in a variety of mostly interconvertible forms. Together with folic acid, cobalamins are essential cofactors required for DNA synthesis in cells where chromosomal replication and division are occurring—most notably the bone marrow and myeloid cells. As a cofactor, cobalamins are essential for two cellular reactions: (1) the mitochondrial methylmalonylcoenzyme A mutase conversion of methylmalonic acid (MMA) to succinate, which links lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, and (2) activation of methionine synthase, which is the rate limiting step in the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine and tetrahydrofolate (Katzung, 1989).

Cyanocobalamin is one such compound that is a vitamin in this B complex, because it can be metabolized in the body to an active co-enzyme form. However, the cyanocobalamin form of B-12 does not occur in nature normally, but is a byproduct of the fact that other forms of B-12 are avid binders of cyanide (-CN) which they pick up in the process of activated charcoal purification of the vitamin after it is made by bacteria in the commercial process. Since the cyanocobalamin form of B-12 is deeply red colored, easy to crystallize, and is not sensitive to air-oxidation, it is typically used as a form of B-12 for food additives and in many common multivitamins. However, this form is not perfectly synonymous with B-12, inasmuch as a number of substances (vitamers) have B-12 vitamin activity and can properly be labeled vitamin B-12, and cyanocobalamin is but one of them. (Thus, all cyanocobalamin is vitamin B-12, but not all vitamin B-12 is cyanocobalamin).[3]

i prefer to use cyanocobalamin rather than hydroxocobalamin. chickens get water logged with hydroxocobalamin

Catosal B-12 contains 5000mcg/100ml at 1ml the B-12 content is only 50mcg too small, by injecting 0.5cc/bird it contains 25mcg cyanocobalamin only which is equivalent to Bexan XP in content. SAFE

sir d-joker ang sir big z,ive used sandoz b12 last jan.14 2011.its 4 cock derby i score 3w1l,for me the chicken move and they are on peak.when i lost my 2nd fight with just a peak,it make my chicken last for a long even the intestines and gizzard was already out from the first break.it means that the sandoz b12 is effective, but make sure to consider other aspects.goodluck

if you carry that same b12 on the picture, then you get the good one.
I use this type, it is made for humans, its the highest quality possible to obtain and fast acting, also doesnt dry a roosters blood like the veterinary brands.
