hey atlas, this is an interesting thread you put up here. my choice would be a roundhead hatch cross. well, the cutting ability and the fighting style of a roundhead complemented by the gameness and shuffling ability of a hatch will definitely be a tough nut to crack... a brunner roundhead or a lacy roundhead crossed to a blueface hatch or a gilmore hatch will can surely make a lot of waves in the derby circuits. i suppose this crossing has been done by a lot of breeders out there too. nonetheless, the mystery of cockfighting works in such a way that not one cross can domintae the game for long. its a matter of coming up with a cross that will hold its ground for you in the pits and then for the breeder to continously do his homewrok in improving his crosses. or setting them as a strain in order to make other crosses in the future.

i just remembered, i guess a sweater-blueface cross can also churn out winners... the gameness and multiple-shuffling ability of the blue-face will nick with the fighting style and cutting ability of the sweater plus vastly improve its gameness. or maybe a mclean-blueface combination... that will surely be one mean killing machine.

my first two choices aren't on the list:
* claret - roundhead
* lemon - roundhead
* hatch - kelso
but still, no one could claim dominancy in this sport. our clarets, roundheads, hatches, kelsos, etc. on hand have variations in terms of doses or shots of infused blood of the breeders where they came from. my 1/2 lemon, 1/2 roundhead cross would differ so much from the fighting style of the 1/2 lemon, 1/2 roundhead cross of breeder A & B.

Re: Best Cross
Let me tell you we just tested a cross of Perry over Mclean down here in old Mexico in the one inch a lot of cut and agression to spare. This cross was came about by accident but is being repeated as we speak.Out of 15 males (brothers) 13 wins 1 loss 1 draw.

i would prefer lemon/hatch or lemon/sweater.
the gameness of lemon and its cutting and breaking ability is best mixed with the shuffling and agility of both sweater and hatch. the sweater's endurance during drag fights is remarkable.
